Clarification re: ringworlds

When constructing a ringworld/sphereworld, do you build the component bases in the same sector as the star? I keep hearing about building ringworlds "around the star", but I wanted to make sure before I have 20 bases that are worthless because they were built in the wrong spot!

Thanks! (And anyone who answers can smack me upside the head for asking such a lame question!)

Yes you are right. The bases must be in tha same sector as the star. And make sure everything is finished at the same time, otherwise the maintenance costs could ruin your empire!

If you make them right, you can add ship construction to the completed station too - this means that once one is created it can get to work on the others.

Well that's my method anyway.

If you can't build them all at once remember to mothball the completed ones.
