What is the maximim number of formations allowed?

Greetings!

I have been challenged to a large SPMBT pbem game.
What is the maximun number of formations allowed? I tried to search for this, but wasn't having much luck. Seems that I read about it a long time ago.

200 formations or 500 units, whatever comes first.
