Wearing the Jade Mask
 

A hunch, considering that the Jade Mask cannot be worn by the C'tis hero the First King -- is this item restricted to cold-blooded units?

(He's not cold-blooded, or any-blooded actually, being undead).

Heh. Was hoping to find a commander who could wear it while being immune to Rigor Mortis...

it is indeed for cold bloods only. I like to try and get a 4 death lamia queen, then slap it on her with that +3 death sceptre.

does it work on lamia queens ? thought the in game description said it was only for c'tis...

the description is off. it works on anyone cold blooded.

Yeah, the manual says that it only works on cold-blooded units. This is presumably the 'in-game' way of restricing it to one species.

There aren't any special flags for C'tisian, Abysian and so forth, so I suppose coldblooded is the best compromise without adding a lot of code that generally would not be used and which would complicate matters unnecessarily.
