Burden of time - rules?

Heyda all,

i have a little question(allready used the search function) and no time for hourlong testings:

How does Burden of time works, what is the percental chance for every living unit to get a affliction and what are these afflictions?

What about indies, do they suffer also?

^^

Any affliction is possible.
Indies suffer also.
No idea what percentage chance, guess somewhere around 5%.

nah i'd say 45% as a 100 man army got 45 casulties...
but.. you know items that give you luck or you have high fortune in a provie that seems to help as 100 people under my jade emporer only got 10 people in 3 turns! w/ fortune 3...

I'm honestly not sure how many hits are generated. What I can tell you is that there are two kinds of hits:
[*] 999 point hits (absolutely positive about this one - just look at the members of the hall of fame that get killed by the burden).[*] 1 point hits (I am less sure of this one, but based on looking at diseased characters, I think this is how this works).

I believe that it never ever generates either kind of hit against any creature which is Undead, Demonic, Lifeless, or Ethereal. The 1 point hits are just like any other 1 point of damage, and have a chance to cause battle afflictions. The 999 damage hits generally kill their victims.

It's really hard to see exactly what the chances of an individual getting the small hits is, because generally this won't have any effect if a battle affliction is not generated.

Nope, surely you've confused BoT (that has IMHO rather 1-3% diease "hit rate") with Leprosy, that has 50%.
Eventually of course, after umpteenth turns, everyone get diseased/afflicted by BoT !
Don't know if Luck scale has any effect (I believe not).

I tested BoT on an army of 1hp Dragonflies. After 10 turns some had got afflictions but survived, very few died. So I'd say that the affliction is really random, it cannot be a 1hp hit (no dragonfly could survive even a 1hp hit).
And the "age" does not affect friendly units BTW. After 15 turns, the caster's army (100 bowmen) still had not the least affliction/casualty (even out of his dominion)...
I think that the chance to drop dead is 1%, or maybe 0,5%, and the chance to get a random affliction is 5%.
Pop loss is 2% all around the world (friendly dominion is affected too).
Cheers
