Master of Orion 2 returns (soon)

This is not a comparison to SE, but another kind of space civ that I keep an eye upon:

I think this is what we had already, well almost... in the good old MOO2.

From what I read here they took inspiration from SEIV.....

They took a lot of inspiration from SE IV..... A LOT But who cares? I am still going to go with the proven King and yet undisputed king of 4x when its released. MooIV. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Traitor! SEV will be the King, Queen and Holy Roman Emperor of 4X strategy gaming!

LOL - I love how PTF thinks we all live in a cave or something and have never heard of GalCiv or GalCiv2. LOL.

Well, not quite, although... SE could become something like a mind-blocking cave? At least if you already think that others could think you live in a blocking environment, then you probably are already living therein. Due to the lack of my non-native-English it is not easy to "write-between-the-lines" http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif
My intention is just to gather some opinions, since I have never played GalCiv1. The main question is, could it probably be worthwhile to be played next to SE V http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif ...But I guess this turns to be as effective as asking something about Gothic in a Morrowind forum.

Nothing about Moo3, please - I agree to everything of the reasons against Moo3.
Moo2 is in the subject by intention.

PS: PTF = PsychoTechFreak, I just have lost my old account with the forum changes.

The problems with MOO3 are too numberous to list here. I bought the game and can speak from first hand experience, the game is uber crap. Do not waste your time or money on it even if you find it for $1.00 at a sale.

In fact I could get it for free... But I dislike downloading game ; after all even the worst one is mean to pay a programmer.
