BUG
i dont remember if this was brought up before, but i just got fubar'd by a nasty bug.
if you save a race with ship designs, and you use that race in another game, it has to be in the SAME player number slot. okay, thats lame, but whats WORSE is that the other player that is in that slot will see those designs. this totally screwed me in a PBEM when i was talking to another player and he said 'hey, nice ship designs' of course a lesser man might exploit this bug by creating really lame minister settings and game options, and saving it to the other slots without telling anyone. |

Not just that it has been discussed before (not sure how long ago), but it has already been fixed. It is in the fix list that will come with the next patch.

Yes, this is (was ) a particular nasty bug. I discovered this weekend (when I was playtesting various mods) that if you routinely add different races to yours games (via .emp files) make sure to add yourself as the first player (human), then the AI races. Otherwise, the AI race in that first slot will be fubar'd for about 100 turns or so until its own designs make those obsolete. Note, this only occurs if you are playing your own custom race that you have previously saved the designs.
