Well, we're looking to start one at [email protected] I know we only have 5 people so far, but would like to start a game by early next week.

EGroups.com is a free hosting site for message Groups. It's easiest to create an account at http://www.eGroups.com and then join the group. There are several SE4 Groups out there, but SE4-PBEM is specifically for gathering PBEM players together to play.

Actually, right now it hasn't been determined. The group is pretty open, so I'm sure we can start one or the other or even both within the next week or so. If you post that you want to start a particular type, I'm sure you'll find some takers (me for one...)

I used to play Alpha Centauri by setting up IP games. For those who don't know, it's played similar to SE, turn based, takes forever.

If you wanna set up a direct connection then you better be prepared to spend about 50 hours per game, 5-15 minutes per turn, and at least a few hours in 1 day.
Anyone can spare the time? I'm going to get this game soon, I liked the demo.

is there a more comprehensive guide to the game than the 42 page thingy in demo?

there's a lot of stuff I can't find info on

if possible, give me a link

The booklet that comes with the game is a joke, and the HTML manual on the CD isn't much better. Best thing I can think to tell you besides , play the game, is to do a search on the forums here. It goes back months and when i did that, and still occasionally do, I generally find my answer.

If you cant find the answer to your question, start a new topic here.

Also, there is a FAQ on the malfador site that has a few answers as well.

Good Luck!
