How many countries have you played?
 

I'm curious, as applies to both SP and MP. The enormous variety of countries, each with different strategies, is a huge part of the appeal of this game; picking just one favorite seems almost impossible.

To answer my own question for re: myself:
MP-Only 2 games so far, both still in the pretty early game, as EA Caelum and MA Ulm.
SP-EA: Abysia (my first game), Caelum, Tien Chi, and Ulm (which I sorta maybe lost interest in after I conquered half the map but couldn't take Niefel's fortress, my focus on nature/earth buffing magic didn't cut it. Had a blast with the White Bull tho)
MA: Ulm, Agartha, C'Tis (Agartha, incidentally, was my first use real of Pretender SC, the Awakaned Oracle.)I've STARTED a Bandar Log game with a bless strat, and I wanted to play with Astral Stuff like Mind Hunt.
LA: Ulm, Atlantis--both, thematically, my favorite countries. (Is it just me, or does almost everyone end up using death or blood magic in the LA?) I've STARTED a few Bogarus games, with Father of Winters as SC, but haven't gotten very far; might try again with a rainbow mage, because SC pretender isn't really needed against AI, and I mainly want to play with the unique summons anyway and the cavalry seems solid enough to expand against indies.

Personally, I'd want to play at least most of an SP game with a country before playing it in a multiplayer game, if only so I know about what kind of force I need to take out indies with minimal losses.

in MP : Pangea EA/MA, Ermor MA/LA, R'yeh EA/MA/LA, Atlantis LA, Ulm LA, Caelum MA, Helheim EA, TienChi MA

Not all even in SP (all but Mictlan ans Shinuyama in MA I think, but only about one third of all the EA and LA nations - I clearly prefer MA).

In MP : Arco (2 times ME, one LE), Man (one time) Atlantis (one time each era), Machaka, ME Ct'is, ME Agartha, EA Ermor.

Everyone in SP.

only a few really http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif, might be I only finished 3-4 SP games (I play big maps) now I play other games. If in SP I would get the sort of opposition I get in MP then I would play it more. Better AI would be nice

I don't care much more SP and I'm just starting with MP

All of the playable nations in the demo: EA Marverni, Arcoscephale, Agartha, Atlantis & Kailasa.

SP EA Marverni, MA T'ien Ch'i, LA Agartha. Haven't had the full game long enough to finish a SP game, or try MP.

Only a few in MP. EA Vanheim, MA Man, MA Jotunheim, LA Arcosephale. A few others in Dom2

Most in SP, but many of those were little more than start a game, play a year or so to get a feel for the nation, so I don't even remember most of the games.

I have no idea where people find time to play all nations many times in SP, unless it's just a few turns each time.

I only play MP, and only the races that I think have a good chance of winning,
and which I find fun to play - i.e. diverse magic, no blood, no need for clamming
and turtling, and sympathetic troops.

EA: Arco, Ermor, Niefelheim, Tir-Na-Nog, Caelum... EA is fun!
MA: Pythium, R'lyeh, Jotunheim, Tir-na-Nog
LA: Man, R'lyeh, C'tis, Caelum

In Dominions II, I played exclusively Pythium, Caelum, and Vanheim...

I only play mp and only ma. Presently i am trying to play every race after playing only Pangaea for ages. Thus far i have played Shinuyama, Ctis, Pangaea, Pythium, and Arcos. But in time i will try them all-except maybe the water races.

I am not counting 1 v 1 mp games. I have played about 40 of those and likely every race.

I played a lot of different races in mp, so i might have forgotten some in my list:

EA: Arco, Abysia, Kailasa, Lanka
MA: Arco, Pythium, Man, Tien Chi, Machaka, Pangaea, Bandar Log, R'lyeh
LA: Arco, Jomon, Ctis

I dont play SP anymore, as the AI is a boring opponent, but before i start an MP game, i test my Nation with different gods and expansion plans.

I don't really play dom3 single player, except as test games which usually end pretty early, so I don't know if that counts. Obviously I've at-least tested a pretender build or two for every nation.

I may have gotten some ages confused, but I believe I have played the following nations MP at least once in dom3:
EA Arcos, Ermor, Sauromatia, T'ien Ch'i, Mictlan, Abysia, Caelum, C'tis, Agartha, Helheim, Niefelheim, Kailasa, R'lyeh.
MA Ermor, Pythium, Man, Marignon, Mictlan, T'ien Ch'i, Machaka, Agartha, Abysia, Pangaea, Jotunheim, Bandar Log, Atlantis.
LA Arcos, Man, Marignon, Mictlan, T'ien Ch'i, Utgard, Atlantis.

Did I play Vanheim in MP once? I think I did but now I'm not sure.
I also played a MP game as Haida Gwaii (custom nation.)
