Re: Statue of the Art, slaughtering started
I've added another 13 hours (long story) to the turn, to give Kailasa more time to get his turn in.

Re: Statue of the Art, slaughtering started
Hey, no sight of Deadnature just yet - I'll given him another 24 hours, then work out how to proceed.
I'm cautiously optimistic that he is just snowed under with work or some such, as opposed to having been abducted and probed by aliens, but time will tell :-) |
Re: Statue of the Art, slaughtering started
Thats considered an exploit to move a few troops to stop an entire army from moving. But if you need to exploit to take cities, I guess thats how its gonna be.

Re: Statue of the Art, slaughtering started
Well, I didn't send one commander or something, it was a sizable force, 40 units plus the mage. Granted it was the Boar Mage. I really just wanted to probe though, so I'm sorry if that was an exploit, I really had no intention of stopping your army. It didn't even occur to me, but I guess I misjudged your strategy. I also wanted to kill off those damn boars because they were gobbling up all the food!
Actually, you should be quite happy about what happened. I really wish that you had attacked with everything, maybe you should look at that battle again :) Wait a second...I just looked at it again. Maybe I didn't stop ANY army there, otherwise that whole force (the one that was supposed to be stopped) wouldn't have caught my scout during the patrol phase. Doesn't that mean you put them on patrol? So ghoul, are you just saying that "in theory" what I did was wrong? If so that's cool. But it seems like there was no "exploit" as you described it. Correct me if I'm wrong but either way, no hard feelings. I am also willing to submit my turn to a third party. |
Re: Statue of the Art, slaughtering started
After you stop and army from moving in a city, they automatically switch to patrol for some reason.
Don't tell me you didn't see my gigantic army sitting there . Thats nonsense. It was an exploit and you know it. |
Re: Statue of the Art, slaughtering started
Of course I saw your army there, I pointed that out myself, please don't put words in my mouth and then say they're nonsense.
I told you my rationale, I even said I was sorry if I did use an exploit. Clearly it didn't occur to me that you would cry foul. I have heard that using single commanders and scouts to block armies is considered by many an exploit. But that is not what I did. Tell you what, if you think that sending an army of any size to the sacrificed, for whatever reason....is wrong...then I'll gladly refrain from doing that for this game and you can do it to your hearts content for all I care. Also, aside from copying Boguses orders (which is pretty unanimous), now might be a good time to specify exactly what else you think is an exploit, just so that we are clear. |

Re: Statue of the Art, slaughtering started
There's really not a lot I can think of that haven't been addressed in patches:
Bogus orders Item-gift spamming to overflow someones item-storage Life-after-death and deliberately killing tons of priests/mages for the purpose of re-animators/upkeep-free-mages. (though not everyone agrees on this one) the one about army-blocking, either with scouts/commanders or small, sacrificial armies as ghoul and I just discussed. Although it might be debatable what the threshold is for an army not to be sacrificial, I think we can agree that the army sent should be able to do SOMETHING significant (damaging) aside from just blocking/probing and dying, which I think was ghouls grief, correct me if I'm wrong. What else? I'm sure there's something.... |
