Ok, I should have just sent all the new sign-ups a PM, which means everyone who has signed up so far (ie. all those above this post) should have had a PM from me with your chosen nation.

If you haven't received a PM from me telling you your nation, please let me know asap. I was partly relying on the forum PM system to keep track of who I'd sent messages to, but just realised that your sent messages still don't get automatically saved. (Grits teeth and curses ) Thought that would've changed during my hiatus.

I don't mind spending a bit of extra time now, during game creation, PM-ing people if it helps make the game more interesting for everyone


Edit: Just realised that we now have 14 players signed up, which is currently giving us an almost exact 20 province per player split, which seems good to me. So I will close this game to new sign-ups as of now.

If any players are looking for new games then I will probably be setting up another game once this one is up and running, so check back soon. Since I highly doubt that one game will be enough to quench my warmongering thurst for power

Right. I have hopefully just setup the game on the llamaserver using the settings indicated on the status page, and the 'Orania' map (which I'm pretty sure is one of the standard maps that comes with Dominions, so no need to download it). So this should mean that it's ok to start uploading your Pretenders.

This is also the first time I have ever used the game creation options on the llamaserver, so apologies in advance if I make any mistakes. It seems pretty idiot proof, but I don't quite class myself as an idiot, so hope it's also proof for someone who falls somewhere between idiot and genius

I have updated the game status page with information regarding the hosting schedule, stales, AI etc. Can I please ask you all to read over it when you get a chance.

I will be out for most of the day, so hope there are no problems with how I've set the game up, and that uploading those Pretenders goes smoothly. Mine is still firmly in the 'how the bloody hell' stage Although please don't feel pressured into rushing your design to get it uploaded, since I know mine won't be sorted for a good 24 hours, and random nations always leads to a bit of extra time being needed during the design phase.

And a final reminder to everyone to make sure that the 'CBcomplete 1.41' mod is enabled BEFORE you start designing your Pretender. It can be found on the mods forum if you don't already have it, or click the link on the game status page (which is always the first post of the thread)

I should be able to check back on progress in about 12 hours or so.

This game will be sticking to the original plan of simply having random nations, without any of the extra RAND options of hidden player identities and no diplomacy etc.

I will be publishing the complete nation-player list on the status page on turn 2-3 (ie. once we know that turn 1 went off without a hitch).

But in the meantime, I've just noticed that the llamaserver allows you to see which nations Pretenders have already been uploaded, so I can't see much point in keeping secret the full list of random nations that were selected for this game. Since all that is currently achieving is that the later a player designs their Pretender, the more of an advantage they will have. So I will now be putting the full list of nations on the status page for everyone to see.

Will be looking for this game to start within the next 48hours. Which I think should be enough time for everyone to have managed to get a Pretender designed.
