Which is incorrect. Something cannot be known or unknown if it doesn't exist. That doesn't make it unknown, which implies it has properites to know. If it doesn't exist it has no proprities and therefore nothing to know.
EDIT: to make a simplier comparision, saying a non-existant object is unknown is logically equivilent to 1/0. Yes, you can say it. No, it doesn't make any sense. No, it isn't helpful in any way.
