Organic armor seems to work better the more pieces of it you have. It seems to split damage between all armor sections more or less evenly, so no piece gets totally destoyed if there is another armor...

You might also want to check out http://bossi.com/chris/index.html
They have a couple diffrent B5 race styles, with some different ships. Including a shadow
figter and cruiser.
