Whenever I start a game I always disable the ability to use Cloaking devices. I learned in SEIII that the AI ALWAYS equips ships with cloaks. It isn't any fun when they get into your rear areas!

I once offered 5 techs I was sure the AI did not have with a combined resarch total of some seven to 800,000 points, AND I gave him 10000 min and 50000 each rad and org. I asked for only ice planet...

Where did the the thought come from? You can only retrofit within the same ship size. Unless someone has been doing some ultra-heavy modding.
