In the process of doing a server update i made a minor mistake in the implementation of the update which has resulted in alot of reminder emails being sent to Users about turns they have yet to play...

Hmm true my race isnt big on interspecies communication but on the bright side at least its not genocidal bent... so whats worse quiet neighbours or ones banging down your doors ...

The filesize can get over the 1 meg mark when there are large scale battles involved because of the combat logs especially

Generally speaking the files are ~300k for most turns

Hmm, i was thinking that such a pop up would say "Connection to PBW server lost. Your game turn has been saved as file XXXX in your \Savegame directory" or the like, not far off what you already said...
