Mud

A few questions about MUD. My Roundhammer invasion is getting bogged down. The shore line is mud and my tanks are becoming immobilized. They have to cross at least 1 mud hex no matter which way they go and they will only move 1 hex at a time in this stuff anyway.
Is there a "good" way to cross mud?
Can you get your tank out of the mud after it has become stuck?
Do I just need to suck it up and expect my tanks to become worthless pillboxes stuck on the invasion beaches of 1943? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Re: Mud

Spoiler alert! There indeed are few beach hexes without swamp and even with clear corridor inlands, roughly in 1/3 and 2/3 way from up to down. However be prepared that while you wont lose vehicles to mud (mostly), they will be ideal prey for artillery.

Re: Mud

Yeah, there are "beach" hexes to land on but as you move off of them there is "always" at least 1 mud hex. So it looks like I just need to accept this and move on! Thank's for the help. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

I hate to admit it when I am wrong, so I will say you are right instead! I found those clear hexes between the beach and more mud! I guess I will have to do better recon in the future. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif Thank's again.

Mud and tanks just don't mix well.

By the time this scenario was over the beach looked like a parking lot.
