Help?

Uhm, yes, it appears as though, when I click "End Turn" on my game, it will get to "Resolving Battle(Turn 1)" and then, nothing happens.

I've got a gig of ram, so it ought to do it, but I'm not sure why it won't go past this point. I downloaded the megapatch. I assume this means all of the patches that have previously been released are included in that patch, yes?

They should be, yes. Upload the turn file, IW probably needs to look at it to see what is wrong.

Mmk. I (somehow) fixed the "Resolving Battle" bug. Reinstall, plus start the game prior to patching(putting in the CD Key and all that), so then I patched it to 3.10.

Now, when I get the ConVArmynbr: Error.

Could it be because I've got 1 savegame from the 3.00 version(I used it as a test, to see if it would get past that part without said patch)?

I get the same ConrArmyNbr Error.

Alright. The game works without the 3.10 patch. Should I download all of the individual patches, and patch the game in order, or what?

Re: Help?

3.08 followed by 3.10 should be enough. My Dom3 is patched to 3.04, 3.06, 3.08 and 3.10.

One of the things that I must ask: Are the games you're running using mods? Specifically, mods that affect armor?

Because any mod that assigns Lightweight Scale Mail to any units will have been broken by this patch since there was a spelling error in the armor name (it was previously Light Weight Scale Mail, but is now Lightweight Scale Mail). I need to make a post in the Maps & Mods forum about that...

Hmm. You could try putting on an older patch, then hosting so the game becomes that version's game, then putting on a newer patch, hosting again and so on until you hit 3.10 and see if it works.

Never had problems like that myself, though. Is there some kind of compatibility issue that now goes from the down up, too?

No, I've learned the hard way to make certain a game works prior to applying a patch.

I shall try this method. <_<..you know, I was a bit peeved when I didn't get a very quick response, however, the fact one of the game devs responded...wow.

Game looks great, and this is coming from someone who doesn't particularly like turned-based strategy.

Righto. 3.08 patch worked fine. 3.10...

Same problem. I don't understand. Is there anything else that could be tried?

Uh, I'm actually NOT one of the devs. I do consider them friends of mine, though.

I'm in the beta test group and the author of the Dom3DB as well as being officially responsible for maintaining the bug shortlist and keeping that in order. I post a lot on these forums to answer questions and help people, since I have a fairly extensive knowledge of various aspects of Dominions 3.
