yep you heard it...

Shamelessly taking the Space Empires series of games.

A limited editon of Space Empires Hot Sauce will offered out to a few here who like hot sauce.

How hot?

Well habaneros have been picked up for this one.

The sauce will be created using habaneros , tomatoes, zucchini , garlic , limes , onions and other hot peppers ( will be at the peterbough farmers market on sat.... so what they have that day will be what goes in it.)

I will be making about 6000 ml of this stuff depending on how much i pick up at the farmers market ( the tomatoes and zuchinne... from my backyard as well as various hot peppers )

How much will it cost.

Well All I ask is that you pay for postage.

And that you publically state that you will purchase a copy of space empires 5.

How much will be available.

Very limited I will know next week on sunday. But I am guessing on 5 jars.

The first one has been promised to Mac.

I am willing to trade with people here who make condiments as well.


Warning

This sauce will be very hot. Since i cannot measure how hot it will be. I can only guess.

My guess would be about 60,000 to 100,000 on the scoville chart.

If you like hot sauce then this will be enjoyable.

If you do not like hot sauce then stay away as you will not enjoy this one bit.

P.S. I will be home tonight so i can catch up on pbw and rtv.....

Tesco, you could have a whole line of hot sauces, from mild on up. Each type could have it's own SE4 race.


If you like your sauce mild, go for the Sergetti.
For something warmer get the Phong.

If you want to make really hot sauce, you should try growing some Red carribean varieties of the habanero, They measure at about 150,000+ on the scoville scale. Ok Sauce made

12 jars at 250 ml
20 jars at 500 ml

so for payment... who knows I will have to find out how much it costs for packaging and shiping to postal codes or zip codes and get back to you...

It took most of yesterday to make.

Went shoping on Sat... for habanero's

Bought 3 pints worth... As well as other various peppers...

I think it will be a little hot... I am hoping it has some flavour in it Will Taste test tonight.

This is a combo sauce/rub....

its not bad at all.

Quite thick in texture in the 500 ml not as much in the 250ml

Taste test with neighbour went well. I ate 3 teaspoons and commented on how it was a quick heat but without the lingering I'M dead, I'm Dead...

Where as the neighbour had one teaspoon and put on a good sweat and agreed with me that the heat is upfront and then fades.

Taste wise. It tastes like a good pepper sauce. and has the look of scotch bonnets.

Mind you this is on day 1. Now as it ages it should get hotter.

60,000 to 100,000 SV units. Right? I don't think it would be as hot as "The Source". It reaches 7.1 MILLION SV! And not as hot as some of mine Dave's hot sause. Never make a hot sause overpowering. Then you lose all that flavor in the mix. It sounds like it would have a good balance between heat and taste. I look forward to getting some of this. Job well done.
