I think you picked the best one for the intro. I like the orange/red one second best. They all look good!

I'm using Paint Shop Pro 8, a few plugins from flamingpear.com (Glitterato, Solarcell, Lunarcell), ArtGem, and ocassionally I use Anim8or to build and render objects.
