Sorry, but going through all the nations for all the national spells takes a while. In few cases, I'm tempted to write in a few hints, but a promise is a promise... What promise, you ask? Well, this one:

Yes, please ! It'll be so fun to see the Asterix heroes as Marverni heroes ! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif
I didn't check the existing heroes, nor did I get them yet, but after all you only have to name them properly... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Some nations (incld., but not necessarily limited to, Bandar Log and Shinuyama) will have a hard time casting all of their spells. Also, in some cases, the summons cost upkeep because they were or will become recruitable in other ages, or other eras of the (usually, but not necessarily always) same nation.

All spells aren't "cool". Many nations have spells for summoning spesific animals, e.g. Sloth of Bears, Pack of Wolves, Pride of Lions.

Some of the spells are old, but changed into national ones. Angels fit into this category. The new angels are awesome, and Awesome, and 0OWSUM!!1

Also, MA C'tis is Miasma.

Re: Screenies!

Hmm, interesting. I can imagine that Mari's conj spells are the Angels, but what the evocation one could be?

And I wonder about Abysia's spells...

So how about those articles?

Re: Screenies!

I can see R'lyeh not getting new summons, given the Void Gate. But the lack of summons love for Machaka makes me a sad panda.

Also, is BE Ermor much in the way of fun to play in the MA? Is it pretty much what we've come to expect from the Dom2 BE (which I thought was pretty vanilla, truth be told)?

I sense that Shinuyama will be a favorite for many folks. Look at all those spells!

Thanks for the list Endoperez...
do you know if modding will work to provide national spells for the nations which don't have any spells ?

Hopefully some blank/unused spells exist for modding.

============
Also has anyone tested to determine if the AI opponents actually cast the national spells ? Perhaps Gandalf knows.

I like BE Ermor much more. The randoms don't add much (110%AWSD). They whole array of infantry from Velites to Standard Bearers, but they also have Slingers, Gladiators, and Lictors (in addition to Shadow Vestals). Lictors are sacred. They have Assassins, Centurions, Legati Legionis and Censors to lead their living armies, and Censors and the old priests and mages to lead the undead. Their priests are now more powerful: Holy 1 for Cultist, Holy 2 for Thaumaturg, Holy 3 for Grand Thaumaturg is very good for Dom3, and they have more holy spells than other nations. Apostacy is Holy 3 now. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/evil.gif

Actually, I could've listed those as Ermor's national spells... Nah.

Any way, IMHO, they are pretty good now. Oh, Reanimation the spell, but not the priest-thingy, now gives them undead Velites, Legionnaires, Pricipes and Triarii.

I don't think spell modding has changed yet. Something might appear later.

AI opponents DO cast their spells, though. Imagine seeing that your opponent has some Magma Children on turn 15! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif

Afaik we will be able to add new national spells. In fact someone has mentioned that it was possible in Doms 2. even. [I am not sure since I never modded Doms 2.]

That's different. That's changing spells so that they become national spells. E.g. changing Broken Empire and giving it some of the summoning spells of Ashen Empire and Soul Gate, so that the new nation has national spells that can summon spesific commanders, but with names and descriptions that don't fit the unit/commander summoned.
