I'm still here. I staled once due to simply forgetting about the game because of such long gaps between turns... I won't do it again though since this is now the only game I'm in. Of course, I may only Last another 2 turns http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

I really needed to whine a little. I feel better already.

I must clarify. I like the long turns. I joined the game, for the same reason as you did Cainehill.
What I find annoying is waiting every turn for people who do not take their turns.

I have several times done my turns during the Last 10 hours.

I'm still in. The game was supposed to be *really* slow. No reason to worry I think http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Re: MP Game - Anyone interested in a *really* slow

I am alive! I am taking part in this game because of the slow-schedule. Any quicker schedule will most likely require me to abandon the game... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

I think I once suffered a single stale due to connectivity problems to Mosehansens Server, which did not reoccur since the server was restarted. Maybe some others did not notice the server restart...

Whatever is agreed upon, I must point out that not every participating player might still read this thread on a regular basis. So better send an in-game message to everyone before turning someone to AI!!!

Very happy to hear about you all.

What about spreading some gossip...

In the east several nations (Machaka, C'tis, Jotunheim at least)have been trying to beat what remains of ermor. They have been surprisingly slow I am afraid. I do know that some unnamed pretender died to the swords of some skeleton at the capital http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

In the center it was the same thing, but against Vanheim...

What is going on in the western part of the world? Any juicy wars?

No, the west enjoys a peacful harmony since the start. And all of the Westerners live on happily together... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif

Re: MP Game - Anyone interested in a *really* slow

I just happened to watch the hosting by chance, and there were esentially two stale turns:
Karacan/Ryleh &
Pickles/Abysia.

Both nations seem to be alive from the nation statics however, and an occasional stale turn is usually not lethal...

(Plus two stale turn of defeated nations according to the province statistics...)

I am still in and it was my Pretender (might as well reveal it). Boy was a surprised. I thought for sure this was an easy victory and then he got jammed into the entrance of the fortifications against a horde of skeletons so no other troops could get through.

No matter, he'll be back soon enough, and quite frankly, wasn't relying too much on him.

Jotunheim lives!

Karacan has basically disappeared - he had gone away for what was supposed to be less than a week, returning the 25th of October or so. Never came back, hasn't replied to email, etc ( I was subbing 2 games for him, but hadn't in any way signed up for the long run ).

Re: MP Game - Anyone interested in a *really* slow

Thanks,

I would have gotten 12 victory points with conventional armies this turn anyways. I just decided to take no chances being so close to victory.

Would anyone like to comment the game? What was your situation?

I know of Caelum pretty well, having been in war with him for the last 15 turns. Caelum scored a small victory in the last turn by defending Abysia's capital.

Seems C'tis was doing very good in the north. Winning against Jotunheim maybe? Was Machaka involved in any wars?

But what was Atlantis planning? He must have tons of gems from Arcane Nexus. Why not attack Abysia or R'lyeh?

I had a pretty easy game most of the time. The only really frightening situation was when Caelum suddenly started taking Abysia's provinces very fast. Good thing I was already planning an attack there.

I guess this game was a slight disappointment because so many players either went AI or just staled. A slow game like this would have been very nice otherwise.

I was still trying to research wish... having been an utter newbie when this game started I had hardly researched anything. Had I gotten wish I probably would have got some doom horrors to harass your home teritory, having seen your domination through the Eyes of God.

Re: MP Game - Anyone interested in a *really* slow

Congrats Turms!

My game started intersting with Man attacking me on turn 4 or so, later I've attacked Marignon, but he has stopped playing (because of outside reasons), about at the same time Ulm also attacked me, I did some progress against Ulm and AI-d Marignon, but then Ulm went AI too. I had tense relations with Abysia, but he stopped doing his turns. When I was finishing AI-d Ulm, I've got into a skirmish with Mictlan, who has promptly went AI too http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif I got sick of fighting AI and went AI too, letting the best AI win. So aside of the early war vs Man I was mostly fighting AI...

Yes this game had an awful lot of dropouts.... Somewhat dissapointing.

Re: MP Game - Anyone interested in a *really* slow

Congratulations Turms!!! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Seems like there was no way of stopping you! My Caelian forces were a bit distracted by my Ally T'ien Chi turning AI suddenly, which was quite nasty having our provinces interspersed thanks to flying. But I do not think that this would have made a big difference...

I wondered why those mages banes seemed ineffective against you AirQueens, but if I recall it correctly, I think the Mage Bane wielders were placed badly and did not even try to attack them, right? I just reforged the matrices for communion (after killing the first caelian communion of with a seraph casting rain of stones on himself grr!), one of those incineration rods and prepared myself to get an iron dragon, but it was all to late and would just have been a single attack squad...

It was a pretty interesting game, especially in the beginning versus Arco and Marignon, though it was somehwat disappointing with both Abysia staling from the time when I was ready to attack them and Tien Chi suddenly turning AI at the same time. Both might have been helpful if they used their forces to help against that Pythian invasion! Fighting Pythium made the game interesting again after Abysia & TienChi being absent!!!

Machaka was getting its many legs kicked by C'tis for some time now. An abominably slow start (and only 1 gem site found in the first 15 turns or so, despite heavy searching) really put the kibosh on any chances of Machaka being a power in this game.

Re: MP Game - Anyone interested in a *really* slow

After this game I really understand why people like Air Queens. I had to summon the last one with astral gems (means she cost about 10 air and 80 astral). She was easily worth it and would have been much more.

However, I don't think you had any mage banes Chazar as it is a unique artifact and Thuella was wielding it for a long time. She gave it to a Tartarian Titan as I decided she was powerful enough with +100% quickness..

Maybe you had moon blades? They do x2 damage against magic beings - trouble was, the Air Queens had all defence over 30, very hard to hit them.

Yes, Pythium won. Well, you cannot see your troops in the last turn anyway, but your battles and who possesses which country...

Otherwise, send an email to Mosehansen via his webpage, he will probably be able to send you your file...
