My favorite show right now, and close to my favorite show of all time is Law and Order: Criminal Intent. But I was just thinking the other day the show probably suffers because it's part of the L&O brand. I think it would get more respect if it had been given it's own name and could be treated as it's own show.

Unfortunately I don't think that's possible...at best President Palmer may make a few appearances. Most of the cast from Last year will not be in this season unless they make some guest appearances. I have a feeling they are intentionally going to be creating friction between the new president and Jack instead, but I still can't wait just to see how the play it out with all these people being gone. I hope though that it doesn't 'jump the shark' this year because of it.

You and me both. Yeah, without Palmer's wife trying to get her own agenda going, it might be a dull show. And more than likely, Tony's gone and probably in jail. I liked the fact that Kim joined her dad's unit, but unless she becomes a full field agent, she'll have a limited role other than computer geek. Maybe they'll write her off as being pregrant with that guy's baby, or she's on maternity leave. Don't get me wrong, I like her, but there's only so much damsel in distress stories you can do for one character, especially in a 24 hour period. Can't wait to watch it, though.

Well I don't want to give too much of a spoiler but i've heard that basically everyone is gone from the new season except for Jack and the new president. I don't think that rules out any 'guest appearances' by old characters but I believe all the actors/actresses other than the 2 I mentioned are not official parts of the cast this season. I'm really hoping they can find some way to make it good this season but I feel I am going to feel lost if there's a huge cast of new characters. I know what you mean. You go from a nuclear weapon in the 2nd show to a biological agent in the 3rd season (and skipping a whole year in which Jack becomes an addict and the President is miraculously cured from whatever dose he was given at the end of the 2nd season). What possibly else can they do? The first season was innovative, and you never knew what was going to happen. The second one kept you on your seat with what was happening with the nuke. I kept missing shows or parts of shows during the 3rd season, so I kind of didn't have the sense of antipication that I had during the second season. I'm waiting for the box set to come out and see what I missed. I haven't heard anything about the 4th season, so yes, please keep the spoilers to a minimum. But thanks for the info anyway.

And I hope to God that one of those characters not coming back was that one girl (I want to think her name was Chloe, but I just don't remember). She was just annoying as hell.

I agree, Chloe was very annoying! But then again I couldn't stand how they tried to move Kim from an airhead to a brainiac Last season because I can't stand her either! As for Last season, it was good but it wasn't fast paced, on the edge of your seat action until about half way through the season. The story started slow and I think it caused a lot of people to lose interest at first. They need to get back to the pace and excitement of the way things were in season 1 and 2. Richard and I actually started watching at the beginning of season 2 but we liked it so much we went out and rented season one and watched it all in one weekend! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

I wish I had that kind of time. I managed to watch all but 1 episode during the first season, and thank God for the FX channel, which showed repeats, or I might have missed more. I bought the box set of season 1, but haven't watched that episode yet to see what I missed.

LOL, trust me, we wouldn't have that kind of time anymore! Thank God for our DVR!

I should get DVR or Tivo, or whatever it's called for Direct TV. But I'm already paying them a small fortune, and I still would need to find the time to watch it. Maybe one of these days.
